These aren’t the best photos, but when the subject is ‘home’ and a sun spider has built the Taj Mahal of webs out by your washing line, who can resist uploading them? Not me.
This ‘home’ is amazing. It has gold threads and layers arcing out in all directions. It’s the mother of all spider webs, and I have to be really careful hanging out the washing so I don’t disturb any of it.
Did I mention I am the only one hanging out the washing these days? Sun spiders are harmless, just so darn big! They are also known as wind scorpions – how exotic is that?
I had better shots on the Rebel but the CF card has decided to die, so I took these with my little purple toy Micam – so, considering the hardware, these pics aren’t all that bad.
You’re a brave woman. I hate spiders. But, kudos to you for such an interesting interpretation of “home.”
